Bible Verse of the Day

C.O.R.E. Teen Group

What does C.O.R.E. mean?

Christ-centered

Opportunities to serve

Reaching the lost

Encouraging others

The Bible says, "Let no man despise thy youth."
We know the teenage years can be difficult, so
we try to create an atmosphere that is fun, exciting, and uplifting.

Our teenagers are involved in Sunday classes, weekly outreach,
monthly activities, annual trips, retreats, and more. Everyone
is welcome to attend. Our teen group meets every Sunday morning
for Sunday School at 9:15 a.m. in rooms 318 - 320, where
they are taught the Bible on a more personal level.

During the school year, our teen group also meets on Wednesday nights
from 7:00 to 8:15 p.m., where we have services geared just for teenagers.
The messages are preached to help them grow, as teenagers,
in God's Word. We believe today's teens are tomorrow's leaders,
so we try to equip them to the best of our ability.

Quarterly, our teenagers conduct a Teen Takeover Service
in which they conduct every facet of the service including
reading the announcements, leading the congregational singing,
playing the offertory, performing special music, and preaching the message.

Harvest Baptist Church has a teen van route. If you are a teenager,
looking to get connected in a church, and transportation is
an obstacle, please give us a call at 724-295-0607. Just leave
a message with your name and contact information. Our Youth Pastor,
Tim Delaney, will do everything he can to help get you out to church.

Pastor Dave Delaney of Shawnee Baptist Church
was the special speaker at this year's
Teen Winter Retreat.
