Kindergarten Teacher

Crystal Messenger thoroughly enjoys her position as Kindergarten teacher and has taught at Harvest Baptist Academy since its inception in 1996. Attending both Fairhaven Baptist College and Massillon Baptist College, her desire has always been to teach little ones. Our Kindergarten schedule is 8:15 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. daily.

Crystal also assists in Junior Church and serves as Harvest Baptist's Nursery Director.

Mrs. Jacklyn Gunner
1st - 2nd Grade Teacher

Jacklyn Gunner came to Harvest Baptist Academy in 2007. As a recent graduate of West Coast Baptist College, she has brought much energy and enthusiasm with her into the classroom.

Jacklyn is very involved in various church ministries, including preparing supper for the teens who go soulwinning each Wednesday. She works with her husband (Pastor Sam Gunner) in our HELP ministry, works with the 3 to 5 year old children in Youth Connection, and is also a faithful nursery worker. Jacklyn is the head coach of our girls' Junior Varsity volleyball team and offers assistant coach support for the Varsity volleyball team. She is the coordinator for our KCEA Reader's Theater program as well.

Mrs. Stacy Fajbik

3rd Grade Teacher

Stacy Fajbik began teaching at Harvest Baptist Academy in 2005. A graduate of Bible College with a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education, Stacy currently teaches our 3rd grade class, and she thoroughly enjoys working with children. She is also the staff sponsor of the Class of 2012.

Stacy is an integral member of Harvest working in our nursery, singing in the Choir, performing in special music ensembles, the church orchestra, and the hand bell choir. She is also a worker in our Wednesday night Youth Connection program.

Mrs. Mindy Rousey
4th Grade Teacher

Mindy Rousey teaches 4th grade at Harvest Baptist Academy. Graduating from Hyles-Anderson College in 1991, she attained a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education. Although this is her first year teaching at Harvest, Mindy previously taught for six years and took a break to start their family. She is so excited to be teaching again!

Mindy is the wife of Pastor Charlie Rousey, who is the Administrator of Harvest Baptist Academy. A gifted musician, Mindy is involved in special music, teaches piano lessons, and is the church choir's pianist. She is also a faithful worker in our church nursery.

Mrs. Mindy Rousey

Mrs. Tammy Buhr Mrs. Tammy Buhr
5th - 6th Grade Teacher

Tammy Buhr currently teaches 5th and 6th grade at Harvest Baptist Academy. Teaching in Christian schools and pre-schools since 1982, her credentials include a Bachelor's degree in Education from Geneva College.

Tammy is a faithful nursery worker and also assists her husband Phil in leading our Legacy-Builders (mid-couples) Sunday School class. You might meet Tammy at our Welcome Desk just inside our church's entrance, where she often greets and assists people on Sunday mornings.

Mrs. Alyece Averbeck
Elementary Teacher

Alyece Averbeck is a graduate of West Coast Baptist College and has been teaching at Harvest Baptist Academy since 2010.

Teaching the combined 3rd - 6th grade computer class as well as the 5th grade English class, Alyece also teaches several high school classes at the Academy.

Alyece is involved in our church's special music program, and her husband David is our church's Music Director. We are so thrilled to have them on our team!

Pastor Dominic Cardamone
Elementary Teacher

Pastor Cardamone is a graduate of Harvest Baptist Academy and West Coast Baptist College and is a tremendous addition to our Academy's staff.

Besides instructing several upper level classes, he also teaches the 6th grade Math class. As our Children's Pastor, he oversees Youth Connection: our Wednesday night program for children ages 3 through 6th grade. Pastor Cardamone is also involved in our special music program.
